Every child deserves a real childhood with time outdoors and a chance to dream their own dreams. We can’t allow technological toys to destroy a generation. Childhood joy doesn’t come by virtual imitation and living in a fantasy world.
I’ve watched this video twice and it impacted me both times. It’s why kids can no longer be found enjoying parks or playing ball in the street.
I sincerely pray that this short video will make you more aware of what is happening with our children, and how we are unwittingly robbing them of a childhood.
Thanks for the reblog and for your continued readership.

You’re more than welcome. Thank you for posting this. It is an issue close to this grandmother’s heart. I’ll be sharing it on social media too. Hopefully, it will reach young parents addicted to their phones and make them think.

It also serves as a reminder for those of us raising kids. Sometimes we need that reminder as we get caught up in the allure of staring at our screens over enjoying our families.
By the way, if you haven’t read The Visitor yet, it will be offered for free this coming weekend. Keep an eye out for it.

Thank you, J.L. I will…you know, most all of us spend too much time staring at screens…we not only need to monitor children but set a better example.

This is one of the reason why we don’t have a TV with three young ones. It’s so easy to let them consume massive electronic entertainments. We take them to lots of gardens and talk about God’s creation.
Thank you for this.

I wish more young parents would consider this. I worry about the development of young minds and I don’t think it is only co-incidence that all the mass shootings follow the same pattern as many popular video games. There seems to be a inability to differentiate between fantasy and reality growing in young people.

We do strive to become what we spend our time meditating and fascinating about.
