12 Help, Lord, for the godly man ceases!
For the faithful disappear from among the sons of men.
2 They speak idly everyone with his neighbor;
With flattering lips and a double heart they speak.
3 May the Lord cut off all flattering lips,
And the tongue that speaks proud things,
4 Who have said,
“With our tongue we will prevail;
Our lips are our own;
Who is lord over us?”
5 “For the oppression of the poor, for the sighing of the needy,
Now I will arise,” says the Lord;
“I will set him in the safety for which he yearns.”
6 The words of the Lord are pure words,
Like silver tried in a furnace of earth,
Purified seven times.
7 You shall keep them, O Lord,
You shall preserve them from this generation forever.
8 The wicked prowl on every side,
When vileness is exalted among the sons of men
Indeed a lovely post! 🙂

I’m thankful for the Psalms. They put things in the right perspective and give me hope. I’m happy this Psalm blessed you too.:0)

The more the World turns away from God, the worse things become.

Yes and there are those who rush in to take God’s place, seeking his power for themselves, who manipulate people ignorant of the Truth to their own ends. We’re drowning in a sea of opinions, we need to return to truth. The best way to fight the tide of evil is to exalt Jesus in our actions in obedience to the Bible. You and yours are in my thoughts and prayers.

We must return to the truth of God’s Holy Bible. Within those pages we have a direct line of communication with the Lord of the universe. It’s the perfect reference book for living in times of turmoil or times of peace and reflection. Thanks for a great post!

My pleasure, Jim. I’m thankful that God shared His Word with us. I’d be lost without it.
